The Southern Oregon Figure Skating Club (SOFSC) is a non-profit club, based at the RRRink Ice Arena in Medford, Oregon in the beautiful Rogue Valley. The SOFSC has the goal of promoting figure skating in all its categories. Club members are encouraged to participate in the many club activities such as attending freestyle skating sessions, taking proficiency tests, entering SOFSC ice shows, exhibitions and competitions. They are also requested to comply with and support the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS), club policies, and to help in fundraising activities.

The SOFSC is Membership in the SOFSC includes: Registration with USFS, a one-year subscription to Skating Magazine, one vote per member at elections and general meetings (over 16 years of age), the opportunity to take USFS tests, and sanctions for all competitions, exhibitions and Ice Shows.

Applications for membership can be found here on our website and on the bulletin board at the RRRink. Once you’ve filled out the application, you should mail it along with the dues required to: SOFSC, Box 1104, Medford, Oregon 97501 or place it in the mailbox attached to the club room door at the RRRink.

What is a USFS Skating Club?

A United States Figure Skating member club is a non-profit organization of skaters who enjoy the art of figure skating and have formed together to promote the sport. All Officers, Board of Directors, members, Judges and Officials are volunteers with a love for skating as recreation for all ages.
The USFS is the national governing body representing figure skating on the US Olympic Committee. It is through the USFS that skaters may test and compete and it is the only route to the Regional, Sectional or National level.
